Teledyne FLIR Unveils Hadron 640R Camera for Uncrewed Systems at XPONENTIAL
May 10, 2022
The 2022 XPO Hall provided attendees an opportunity to see the latest innovations enabling autonomous systems in person. With attendees finding solutions to take their businesses to the next level, this year’s XPO Hall experience was bigger than ever – and a top announcement from the show floor was from Teledyne FLIR, a world leader in infrared cameras for defense and industrial applications. From the show floor, the company unveiled a higher performance Hadron™ 640R.
Uncrewed systems are increasingly being integrated into commercial and defense applications, and industrial customers and warfighters alike are increasingly relying on their capabilities. Within both sectors, end-users are counting on these systems to deliver performance and efficiency in rugged environments to achieve mission goals – and to do so with speed and efficiency. Teledyne FLIR offers solutions for a variety of uncrewed systems and use-cases, from industrial inspection to search and rescue to defense applications.

For these use cases, the Hadron 640R’s radiometric thermal and visible dual camera module is designed for integration onto platforms across domains, including unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), and robotic platforms. It is designed for applications where battery life, run time, ability to see through low-visibility situations, and resistance against dust and water intrusion are mission critical.
For integrators and OEM product developers, the Hadron 640R is in a single, easy-to-integrate module and is designed to reduce development costs and time-to-market. As the uncrewed ecosystem rapidly evolves, FLIR is offering a complete system through a single supplier and industry-leading integration support and service from their team of experts.
