Vantis Fly Day Showcases Real-World BVLOS Drone Operations and Connected UAS Infrastructure

Grand Forks, N.D. — The Northern Plains UAS Test Site (NPUASTS), in partnership with Frontier Precision Unmanned and Gorman Field, will host Vantis Fly Day on May 28, 2026, at Gorman Field UAS Test Range.

This event will provide attendees with an opportunity to experience live Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone operations enabled through the Vantis system — North Dakota’s statewide UAS infrastructure supporting scalable, repeatable, and safe advanced drone operations.

Participants will observe real-world flight demonstrations, engage with industry leaders and operators, and learn how aircraft, sensors, and communications systems are networked through Vantis to support advanced operational capabilities. The event will showcase how connected UAS infrastructure enables reliable command and control, improved situational awareness, and scalable operations across public and commercial sectors.

Vantis Fly Day will also highlight NDAA-compliant UAS platforms and sensor technologies designed for integration into advanced operations and operational use on the Vantis network.
